The line draws a nice parallel between the two shows. Moss and others of 8 behaved like they were drinking something hard when it was just milk, while Arconians tell themselves they're drinking milk as they guzzle bottles upon bottles of 13% alcohol (thrice as much as the average beer).
Hahaha. That's true.
If we're looking for similarities, you've got a trio of two men and a woman in both shows, and both of these trios are pariahs in their building.
And this may be a deep cut, but I can totally imagine Bev going "I got a gun! I got a flipping gun! I got a mother flipping gun!"
