Recognizing Fake Profiles?
Post Body

What are some signs that you've learned that more or less mean it's a fake profile or someone with alterior intentions?

I only using dating apps off and on and have never had anything come from them (haven't really expected much from them either). Most of the time if I get a match it ends up being someone trying to get me to pay for sex or to pay to unlock images/videos they send me etc. Most of these ask the exact same questions word for word, only communicate in short sentences or are from women who are obviously and realistically out of my league.

I recently had a match on Bumble who messaged me (a first) and she has the exact same long term goals as me. We've been talking through the app for a few days getting to know each other and while I'd like to think she's legit there are a few worrying signs. She only has 1 picture on her profile, she doesn't have a lot of information on her profile and her responses seem pretty reactive to mine (always asking me questions and then responding that she likes the same things but never volunteering her interests unless its in response to mine). I can't tell if we just really are similar and she's just private or if she's just mirroring my likes to tell me what I want to hear.
