All my life ive been told "be friends with the girl first." Treat her well, like a good friend, and she'll fall for you. "Don't comment on her appearance or introduce sexual tension right away, thats rude." That kinda stuff.
Well after about a year on these apps I found girls viewing me as just that- A friend. And they were often bored by me and giving me uninterested responses. I was crushed when I asked one girl id been talking to out on a date and she said I was "bro-coded" lmao. Like I was her "bro"
Well the past month I flipped strategy. Almost all my openers now are commenting on her appearance and/or mentioning some sort of date I could take her on. I keep the small talk to a minimum. I don't ask very much questions or blabber on about everyday things like you would to a friend. I ALWAYS call it a "Date", and NEVER say "hang out" or anything like that. Often i'll introduce some sexual tension in the first few messages.
And im having MUCH more respect. Women are more responsive, they treat me less like an emotional-doormat. They dont call me things like "Bro-coded", that one still hurts lmao. They are much more eager to meet up. A lot of times they are double-texting me!
Im so conflicted because it goes against all the traditional advice. But the traditional advice "dont comment on appearance, treat her like a good friend, hold off on sexual tension, etc.). But the traditional advice got me nowhere. Girls seem to hate it.
I felt the same way when I finally figured out how to talk to women. My sisters and 90s sitcoms I was raised on taught me everything I knew about relationships, and it was all lies.
But hey, you're a couple years younger than I was when I learned it, so you've got that going for you.
