After time away from the apps, is it better to restart existing account or delete and start from scratch?

I was in a relationship for about 4 months with someone I met on one of the dating apps. We were exclusive so I paused or hid myself on any app I had been on.

Things ended amicably and I didn't want to jump right back into dating. Now that I'm ready again I restarted my Bumble account and have been surprised how few matches I get compared to before.

Does anyone else experience this?

Does it have something to do with the age of my account? Would deleting it (and any other app) and starting with a new account be helpful?
