Stood Up On A First Date...
Post Body

I matched with a woman on Sunday through Hinge. Her profile was fleshed out, she appeared engaged in the conversation, and we setup a date for this evening. She was really into tea, so we agreed to meet at a tea house. I confirmed the date with her this morning. She messaged me a couple minutes prior to our meeting time stating she had arrived and was waiting inside. I then show up on time, take a look around, and notice no customers in the shop and nobody outside waiting. I shoot her a message stating I had arrived and asking where she was. Within a minute she unmatched me. Seriously!?

I could maybe understand it if she saw me and decided to dip out, but considering she said she was inside the shop when it was empty makes it seem like she never actually went there and had no genuine intention of showing up. I still decided to grab some tea by myself. It wasn't terrible, but I've had better tea before, lol!

It's just especially frustrating as it was the second straight time somebody no-showed on me like that. Granted, I don't have a history of this happening, so I'm just chalking it up to bad luck, but still...I live in a small town, so I usually have to travel 30-45 minutes one way for a date when using OLD. To have this happen, especially twice in a row, is incredibly annoying. Both women were supposedly in their mid to late 20's. Assuming they weren't completely fake profiles, I'd have figured they'd be beyond this kind of childish/malicious behavior. -_- Hate to say it, but I may need to quit the apps for a while...
