Everyone is busy once they reach adulthood and has lots of things going on. I don't care if your job is that of a surgeon or that of someone bagging groceries. I don't care if you are the kind of person who has a half dozen social engagements or the kind of person who is more introverted and has hobbies that are less social. The value of a person's time cannot be compared in value against anyone else's.

Too many times on dating apps, I occasionally run into someone who gets a little snippy/defensive when you gently nudge a conversation that's been left on read longer than it should be after a promising start asking if they're still interested in talking, and the person will say something like, "I have a really busy life, and getting back to matches isn't my priority," basically suggesting that their life has got a lot more going on than yours and they're doing more important things in the world than you, a person who is on a dating app doing what people technically should be doing on them: using it to try to connect and hopefully meet others.

Don't ever let anyone try to big dog you like that. The fact that you are attempting to give them your valuable time and they are swatting it away like you're being a nuisance just for *gasp* using a dating app to message another person on a dating app should tell you everything about their lack of self-awareness. Going one step further, if they are so busy that they can't be available to connect with anyone, then maybe they shouldn't even be on an app, stringing people along and frustrating them by leaving them hanging.

Know your worth. And know your time is worth as much as anybody else's.
