Two years ago, my world was turned upside down when I discovered my wife had been cheating on me with a contractor at her job. He was 52, she was 36, and I was left questioning everything I thought I knew about love, loyalty, and commitment. I tried to move past it, to work through the pain, but some wounds don’t heal as easily as we hope.
I never thought I’d find myself here, opening up to strangers online, but loneliness has a way of making you reach out in ways you never expected. I miss the feeling of a genuine connection—the warmth of being truly seen, heard, and appreciated. Not just as a husband, or as a provider, but as a man who still has so much love to give.
I don’t know what I’m looking for exactly. Maybe just someone to talk to, someone who understands what it’s like to feel discarded and unseen. Maybe someone who knows what it’s like to crave that emotional bond that once felt so natural but now feels so distant.
