At the train station in the rain and your husband hasn't come to pick you up yet. Your phone's battery is dead. It's pouring outside, and you're not sure if you're soaking wet from the rain or from tears of anxiety.
Not a single soul is in sight at eleven thirty at night, and it's at least an hour's walk home in the dark from here. The storm's end isn't anywhere in sight, and the flames of rage inside of you have already reached the sky. It's your birthday today and the truth splashes in your face in all its glory as a car suddenly brakes next to you.
The driver, a good looking man in his mid forties, opens the door and asks you with a smile "I just got off the last train, can I offer you a ride home?" You recognize him. He's the cute guy who lives across the street, and you're so embarrassed that moment you wish you could bury yourself. But the weather is so bad you suck it up and hop into the warm car. The drive is less than fifteen minutes and the few words you do hear him talking have such a sweet tune to them. Damn, this life is so unfair.
Before you know it, you arrive home. A moment before he drops you off, he smiles at you and asks you "Are you sure you're fine? Would you like to come over to my place? I'll make you some hot cocoa and you can dry off". Those words sting you inside so badly cause you know nothing even close to that is what's waiting for you at home.
Do you take the offer?
I'm that guy right now, and I'm offering you to come upstairs for some hot cocoa, to dry your tears, and maybe later share some steamy fun.
46 year old dad here. Slow burner. Romantic. Won't ghost. Open to outside the US, and looking to catch feelings. If you are as well, and a mom over 25, send a chat and tell me if you'd take the offer 😉
