I'll be honest, the title is a bit of a lie. I actually learned how to tie my shoes when I was 4 or 5. But I just learned a new way to do it that is so amazing, so life-changing, (it's so mind-blowing there is a TEDTalk about it) that it inspired me to come here. I figured that if I, an intelligent, well-traveled, high EQ, 53 year old man could learn a new way to do such an important thing, then maybe I should try for another awe-inspiring experience.
What I'm saying is that for the last few years my life has been like the old way of tying my shoes. Predictable, rote, sem-effective but not satisfying, and the thing I do every day just because I've been doing it that way forever. But now, I have seen the light. I have seen what something fresh and new and exciting can do for my life and I want more of it. And I want to be that for someone else, preferably a woman who is intelligent, likes to laugh, wants something new that could lead to, dare I say it, feelings, and who is open to long distance/online with the possibility to meet in-person.
If that's you, say hi. And if you ask nicely I'll share this amazing new shoe tying method with you.
