I miss you. I miss us. I miss telling you about my day, and that silly movie I watched on Netflix with the kids yesterday. I miss hearing about your time at work, and how you were nearly late because you stopped to get coffee.
I miss our date nights, watching TV together on video chat, and the giggly voice notes full of inside jokes. The jokes that seem to build on each other, laughing about things no one else would understand.
I miss the deep chats, the ones about what we're both doing here. Talking about the difficulties in our relationships, but never bashing our spouses. The compassion and having someone listen. Knowing we're facing these things together.
I miss learning everything about you, listening to your Spotify playlist because it makes you seem closer. I miss our chats on the phone, and sending each other selfies and photos everyday, challenging each other on Wordle. Or Words with Friends. Or whatever other game we can play together.
I miss having our friendship, even more than the spicy moments, which are incredible by the way. I miss knowing you accept me, and like me as I am, for me, not because of what I do for you. I like that you're not just a mom or a sister, or a wife to me, or all the things you do, you're you, and that's enough for me.
I'm 6'1 which you know, and I like that you find me attractive, even though I'm not super fit, because you're the one I'm trying to attract. Just you. I love your body as it is, because it's yours, and I'm crazy about you.
