So, what is there to say?

Things aren't great. In fact, things are pretty far from it. I'd never consider doing this, but maybe seeing how the other side lives is worth a shot.

Some things about me, then - I'm 36, 6'2, 158lbs, dad to a wonderful kid, and I work in an industry I hate, but the pay is good. I am utterly in love with my spouse, but there are issues that I'm not quite keen on going into here.

In terms of interests: I'm extremely into film - If it has an actor who lived in the past 60 years, I can probably name it, and if you don't know an actors name, I can most likely tell you from a rough description. Musically, I reach far and wide - my only hangups are Country and anything that sounds manufactured by a focus group in the past 7-8 years. I read a lot in my spare time - everything from sci-fi and fantasy to non-fiction and philosophy. I don't get to often, but I enjoy going to concerts, going out for drinks and conversation with my friends, sitting by the ocean out of the direct sunlight, and just walking. The city, the neighborhood, anywhere. Just a nice stroll at night after a storm is like a drug, to me.

In terms of time to chitchat back and forth, I do work from home, so early hours may be a bit dicey at times, but I check my phone regularly.

In terms of what I'm looking for? I don't really have a preference. Someone I enjoy talking to, that can carry a conversation and not just be content to let me ramble and pretend to pay attention. Someone who can offer more to the conversation than an uninterested "yeah" before going back to what they were looking at. Looks don't particularly matter - I don't have a "type". I'm not looking for anything sexual, but am willing to share a picture of my face if needed, to prove I'm not an absolute troglodyte.

Past that, I will talk circles around you if you let me, and I will find humor in just about any situation. If any of those things strike your interest, the DM's are open.
