Ah, the world of online affairâwhere every ad feels like it was written by the same overzealous copy-paster or an overworked ghostwriter with a flair for cliches.
âNot here to ghost,â they say, only to vanish faster than your willpower at a dessert buffet.
Theyâre "looking for connections," yet canât connect long enough to ask if you prefer cats or dogs, or if you like pineapple toppings on your pizza.
And letâs not forget the ones promising "long-term", yet their attention span barely outlasts a TikTok video. âIâm in it for the long haul,â they say, yet their interest lasts about as long as a free trial.
Oh, and the classic: âLooks arenât importantââright up until you swap pics, and suddenly theyâre a magician pulling a vanishing act.
Still, here we are, scrolling, swiping, and hoping that maybeâjust maybeâthis time will be different. Because, hey, romance might just be one more swipe away⌠or at least a funny story.
If nothing else, itâs character-building, right?
P.S. Donât worry, this isnât a rantâjust the musings of a pretty lurker. Not that youâll ever know, because, letâs face it, we might not even make it past the pic swap. đ
