Just another post from another guy looking for that hard to define something, but I know from past experience that it is out there - it just doesn't always stick around that long. Sound familiar? Let's change that and make a more firm commitment to not ditching each other.

I've lurked here for a while, but never posted before. I have had that elusive spark with a couple of people I've met from here in the past by replying to posts. One lasted 6 months and was the highlight of my last few years (a damning indictment of where my life has got to), and the other a few weeks. Both were equal parts fun and liberating. But both ended with a sudden disappearance. Fine - life happens I get that. But I'd rather you just leave a message before disappearing without a trace.

So, what will you get from me? You'll find a very average British guy who likes to cook (and eat), live music, watching football and doing my best to try and keep some degree of fitness. What that really means, is I run and walk enough to make it so I can drink and eat at the weekend without feeling any guilt, or my waistband expanding too much. If you're looking for someone 'sculpted' then I am not your chap.  I'm 6'1" tall, blue eyes, far to darkish hair which is probably what you'd describe as 'mousey' btu that adjective sounds unappetising to me so I avoid it. I have a decent job, I fluctuate between loving it and hating it, but I've worked hard and got to a position I'm happy in and see myself in now probably until retirement (there's a depressing thought).

I'm looking for someone to chat with, which is why we’re all here. Ideally find that we have some things in common, but even if we don’t, that’s fine too – so long as we both make the effort to actually spark up some conversation and see if we have any sort of connection going on. I’m pretty laid back in general, don’t tend to take myself too seriously. I think of myself as good, unassuming and consistent company. Now what rightminded woman could resist sending a chat request to someone describing themselves in such an elaborate way?
