I have occasionally looked at this subreddit off and on and wonder if people actually engage on anything other than attempting to be fixed or distracted in the moment they are in? Finding something more than a momentary fix for either urges or issues... I am not sure I've seen that kind of post that also wasn't AI generated.

Given its a New Year... I figured id give it a shot and see what could be and help each other disrupt, what I am sure for both of us in our lives, is a stable but sometimes stale routineness to our lives that would benefit from a new experience but one that could be lasting.

A bit about me, I am 37 and I live in/around the MD/DC area, I have a stable life, I have a stable job, and id consider myself a stable person... and in today's world... might be quite unique in itself haha.

My interests are a bit mixed... sometimes I feel like I was Japanese in a prior life. I like Anime and of course normal shows and movies as well, target shooting, engineering inventions/discoveries and if I could have any dog breed it would be a Shiba Inu.

I think what id like from all this is that one unique person that can share what's happened in their day and beyond and genuinely wants to hear from me as well. I want to know about you, your interests, what gets you out of bed in the morning, what makes you upset or disappointed and how to help, and how if/when I fit into that to be able to have a reliable partnership in conversations, discussions, or just general interests.

I struggle with what to type here, to garner that aforementioned unique persons interest and hopefully if/when you reach out, ill be able to learn how this whole sort of exchange works to build towards being each others unique person and there for one another to start out and learn more.
