Something about the holidays always has me feeling a range of emotions. Spending time with family is great, but it never seems to last long enough before everyone has to get back to their own lives.
All the presents are unwrapped and you start putting things away. Washing the sink full of dishes. It's cathartic but you are stuck inside your own head thinking (and stressing) about the next holiday.
You have time off, but can't seem to unwind, or you feel anxious or guilty about spending that time doing nothing, so you start feeling like you should be doing something productive.
It's a struggle. And hopefully one that resonates.
I have that holiday downtime, and I want to spend it in a meaningful way, building a connection with something special, getting to know each other as friends first, growing it into something more. Set ourselves up to work on resolutions for the new year together, or just support support each other in general as we navigate this thing called life.
I am not looking for a Christmas miracle, just someone to share my time and attention with, to see you and feel seen. Be comfortable sharing photos and voice notes about your day, eventually doing voice and video calls.
Obligatory details so the dreaded bot doesn't shut this down before it can even get off the ground:
43/married, no children. Located in CST. Animal lover, slightly nerdy (ok maybe a lot nerdy, that's for you to decide). Active brain that is always learning and wanting to experience new things. Getting back into reading more. Music is a love language.
Reach out, let's give things a try and see what develops. The journey is part of the fun, and I promise not to take it personally if things don't work out. I will be looking forward to your message.
