While I could try to turn this post into a literary masterpiece, I'll cut to the chase ... because, well, really, are you here to hire a writer? (Although, if you are, I would be a good hire IMHO :) haha.)

Ideally, I'd like to find someone who is relatively close, geographically. But in my years of searching, I've found that hope/wish to be on par with trying to win the lottery. So I've come to accept the reality that I'm better off searching for something online. But in the online situation, there's still an ideal ... and mine is lengthy penpal-like exchanges more than rapid-fire chatting. Not that I don't chat or won't chat (I do and will), but exchanging lengthier messages is more appealing to me because they can more thoughtful and feel more like having meals vs having snacks. Know what I mean?

The second thing that would be ideal is that we find each other physically attractive. I think that's important. But I do recognize that sometimes people will actually appear more attractive physically as you get to know them. So there's wiggle room there.

The third thing that would be ideal is if your love language (or one of your love languages) is touch. I know that may sound like an odd thing to want considering how I'm posting on this subreddit. But, still, I think that's important to me as well. Again, an ideal.

About me: I'm Asian, 44, married with kids, in the "DMV" area (DC, Maryland, Virginia) ... more specifically Northern Virginia, aka "NoVA", near Washington, DC. I'm really chatty (a natural storyteller). I love to sing. I'm a former athlete (track and football), so I'm in relatively good shape even though I don't work out as much as I used to or as I'd like to. If height matters to you, I'm 5'9". I'm also a former overachiever who is now without a checklist (something I need to work on). I don't do drugs. I don't drink. Heck, I don't even swear (in person, anyway, but oddly enough will on occasion via chat). :) Not that I'm against any of that. Just not what I do. I'm also into sci-fi, fantasy, crime solving (shows, books, etc.), superhero stuff, "chick flicks," romcoms, and more recently Japanese anime (to name a FEW).

About you: I think if you clicked on this post and have read this far (and enjoyed it), we are probably compatible enough to engage in a conversation to at least get to know one another to see what sort of chemistry we have. I don't need to say what your likes and dislikes should be or say you should have this quality or that characteristic. I think the same goes for appearance as well. While we all have preferences, I've come to realize that it's probably not a good idea to describe what type of women I tend to be attracted to. In doing so, I may discourage someone really great from responding. But I think at minimum, you should view yourself as relatively pretty and try to exercise every now and then (vs rarely or never).
