I am a 54-year-old male who lives in Georgia. I keep in reasonably good shape through daily running and weekly yoga (both hot vinyasa and yin). I am 6'0", 195 lbs, and have blue eyes and salt-and-pepper brown hair.

I think music is a good way to know something about a person, so as for music my tastes run from Depeche Mode, the Cure, Duran Duran, to classic rock.  ELO, Jimmy Buffett, Billy Joel, Indigo Girls, U2, Nat King Cole, Otis Redding, Simon & Garfunkel, Nick Drake, Dusty Springfield.  70's Elvis, Classic 80's & 90's country like Garth Brooks; Jackson Browne, Zeppelin and Floyd.

I read a lot of philosophy and am working toward understanding Buddhist principles, especially Zen, and how they can help me be more settled and content with my life.  I love historical fiction by authors like Bernard Cornwell and Ken Follett, as well as history by Michael Shaara and David McCullough.  I am currently reading "The Jaws Log," which is an account of the filming of that classic movie.

Speaking of movies, I have spent far too much time on an internal debate as to whether Casablanca or Godfather l and ll are my favorite movies of all time. I also love Hitchcock, Richard Linklater, Spielberg, and James Cameron. I prefer Star Wars to Star Trek, but I appreciate the latter's storytelling.

I want to be respectful to each person I encounter here, whether we connect or not.  I recognize that for some of us, myself included, this is an unusual thing to be doing and may not be something we are totally "sure of" yet.  But I am hoping to find someone to chat with, and eventually connect with.  I still love my wife, and she still loves me, but the marriage has been sexless for many years (not out of lack of desire or capability on my part).If any of this interests you, please buzz me back and let's see if we connect.
