Quick side story/observation: Before I dive in, I read a post yesterday where a woman was looking for a man, but specifically an OTR truck driver. That was her deal breaker. I couldn’t help but be amazed at the vast difference in our experiences based on sex. Can you imagine me writing some specific criteria like that with any success? “Must be a one armed juggler, ladies. That’s my type and it’s all I’ll take!” To be fair, I’m more than confident that woman received 183478292732 messages, of which, 95-99% of the replies are probably NOT from OTR truck drivers. Still, the ability to be picky seems nice.

Alright, I’m off my soap box now. Truth be told, it’s been a bit of a rough year for me personally, especially lately. A lot of things in life are starting to feel final, and the loneliness is palpable. Does anyone else out there just feel a constant feeling of hopelessness? As if there isn’t much personally or globally/nationally to get excited about? Do things just kinda feel bleak and like they probably won’t improve anytime soon, if ever? If so, big same.

A lot of your posts talk about missing a connection, a deep feeling of trust and excitement to share your life with another person. That’s exactly what I’m looking for. Let’s create a world for ourselves to deal with our lives, share the good, escape or face the bad as the situation would warrant, and hold hands through this uncertain time in our lives.
