You don’t have to be associated with Mormonism, but it certainly helps jump start the connection. Mandarins do too! Not the junky canned ones imported from china. Not the nasty “cuties” and “halos” that are picked green, held in cold storage, then gassed to turn an orange color. The fresh off the tree satsuma mandarin is my favorite short lived annual experience.

If you haven’t been scared off, congratulations! You’ve got me all to yourself because you’re most likely the only one. I’m 40, married, Mormon, kids, and yes living in California.
