I’ve done the AP thing before (posted here a looooong time ago), and it’s taught me what I really want and don’t want. I want a slow burn. I genuinely love those conversations where we bond over common interests, grinning at our phones.

Hopefully we find other common interests and needs, philosophically, emotionally and yes, even sexually. I do want that eventually (could even meet in person from time to time, if we really hit it off), but not until after we’ve connected in other ways first. If I wanted to jump into (virtual) bed right away, I’d be in another subreddit.

The basics: I’m 51, married but no kids, live in New England, work largely at home at a job I’m passionate about. Kind of a geeky, introverted bookworm, but I do like to get out into the air and light and have a wide range of hobbies and interests (doesn’t everyone?).

I like to think of myself as a nurturer type looking for the same in return. I’m told I’m a good listener, and while sometimes Real Life(tm) makes it hard for me to write back instantly, especially during the work day, I’ll never ignore you. And yes, I have time in the evenings and on weekends to chat. Pretty platform-agnostic, and I don’t mind exchanging (SFW) photos/videos/voice chats early on if you like. No pressure, though.

If physical stuff matters, I’ve got a neat salt-and-pepper goatee, brown eyes, bald-headed, glasses (contacts, on a good day), about 5 foot 10. Not a hardbody, but i work out regularly and try to take care of myself.

What’s my ideal AP? Someone smart, funny, emotional but not fragile, with needs but not “needy,” if that makes sense. In or close to EDT is not a deal-breaker, but it would help.
