I must admit, in my middle age I’ve become a morning person. Something about enjoying that first cup of coffee in the quietness of the morning light before the chaos begins of daily life. Life brings happiness in small moments, it’s the memories and the cherishing of these moments that matters.

So why am I here? Well, I don’t have enough of these little moments in my life and I’d love to experience these moments again with someone throughout the difficulties of our daily lives and most likely our marriages (this is OA after all). Someone who understands the difficulties of marriage and that there are moments - raw real moments you need in your life to feel alive. And when those moments begin to dwindle, it makes sense that you might seek someone or something to experience those moments with again. To feel again. Feel happiness.

I’m seeking someone married, close to my age, preferably with children who really understands the struggle and is searching for someone to share these moments with. An escape from reality if you will. I’m very open minded and am not a conventional thinker. I tend to look at things outside the box and try to be compassionate towards others and try to understand them before judging. I’m not really interested in conventional things. I much rather have a philosophical conversation about anything under the sun than talk about the latest sports game. I’m politically left, a home cook and absolute goofball.

Some random facts about me:

-I like to read long difficult fiction books even though they mostly make no sense to me.

-I make a mean “Sunday gravy”

-I like flipping the pillow over every 15 minutes because it’s “colder”

-I once hiked 43 miles of the Appalachian trail only to sprain my ankle on the last mile by tripping on a rock like a dumbass.

-I’ve been a musician for 30 years and never made a dime.

-I absolutely despise ketchup

-I’m obsessed with sound; noises, textures, ambience. Sometimes listening to the drone of a lawn mower in the summertime can be extremely soothing.

Lastly I should say that I’m not the spring chicken I once was, so I’m a bigger guy. Not a gym bro at all. I’m not really concerned with physical appearance although I do find glasses attractive, but definitely not a requirement.
