It’s Friday. Saturday-eve. All day long. You’ve made it to the weekend, congratulations. Time to log off, pour something into a fancy glass, relax on that new sectional couch, and think about your two days “off”.
You have a laundry list of tasks to tackle. But hey, Rome wasn’t built in a day, right? They’re all scribbled on the back of one of those infinitely thick ‘join AAA today’ envelopes. But this time, once you cross off the last item, that envelope goes directly into the trash, hidden under some paper plates. Unopened. The last time you opened one, the kids found the 50 “ask me about AAA” stickers on top of the trash. We’re not gonna talk about where those stickers ended up.
But you’ll keep that envelope close hold, dutifully knocking out task after task. You'll be at the gym in the morning. You'll be hauling groceries in before breakfast, your head bobbing to the music from your AirPods.
You do this every week. You want to. You need to. But it's not without monotony. You've noticed your youthful spunk detuning into a simply, playful smile. You want it back. You've matured, but that doesn't mean you're dead inside.
You need someone…someone to secretly chat with while deciding if name brand paper towels are worth the price. Someone that appreciates your unprofessional sense of humor, and the gains you’ve been making at the gym. He finds you sexy, mind and body.
He’s funny, can match your wit. He understands that even though your phone is in your back pocket all weekend, sometimes you just don’t have time. But sometimes you’re willing to take the long way home for him, just so you can make your phone call just a little longer. And sometimes you make time. Just because.
Ideally you'll be close-ish. Maybe close enough for a weekend downtown. Or maybe you'll finally have a reason to burn down all those frequent flier miles for a weekend away, when the time is right.
Hit the chat button and take a chance at regaining yourself. Besides, you need someone to tell you to stick to generic paper products.
