It’s what keeps us coming back…what has us posting prompts over and over. The repetition seeming like a callback from an empty valley…bouncing around high walls and open skies to no one in particular
Our cries of loneliness and desire ricochet so much before finally finding the virtual skies, where the notes repeat out to responses of silence.
We are looking for them…hoping for them…in a twist over them…trying to move on from them…but they remain quiet.
Occasionally, they find us - but only for a second. After that, their ghost is silent to the power of twenty
So we try to remain steadfast and exhibit restraint.
We fail - often - but we try nevertheless. We come back and try again (and again and again), because we are accustomed to the echo and tired of the silence.
I’m looking for the same things we all seem to be looking for; consider this a gentle offering that we all find it.
