that has stuck with me for awhile now. It’s by the great Roy Kent who says when talking about Rebecca’s date “He’s fine, that's it. Nothing wrong with that, most people are fine. It's not about him, it's about why the fuck you think he deserves you? You deserve someone who makes you feel like you got struck by fucking lightning. Don't you dare settle for fine.”

I think we can all relate to that feeling, the feeling of gratitude for having someone in our world who makes us feel like we are absolutely exceptional. And we are individually exceptional in our own way, whether we are kind, beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, insightful, introspective, worldly. The more challenging part of the equation is finding that person who actually sees it and appreciates it.

I’ve had that person in my life. It felt real and it was so completely fulfilling. But, alas, all good things come to an end, even when we may not want them to. Part of healing is finding a way to emerge stronger, more resilient, and a more complete person on the other side.

So, here goes it…. I really don’t want to provide a laundry list of my attributes that make me desirable, but rather provide some insight into what is compelling to me.

-I am a deeply feeling person - there is nothing better than great lyrics to inspire you, move you, and make you feel less numb.

-A perfect sunset and sunrise reminds me that we are part of something greater and something really exceptional in this world. We often forget that.

-Laughter can heal just about anything. I’ve taken myself too seriously in the past, and even in the present at times, but sometimes laughter is exactly what is needed to mend the soul. It took me some time to realize this and embrace it fully. There were/are special people in my life who allow me to see the value in laughter.

-I embrace emotions, good or bad. Emotions allow us to feel alive.

-I have so much to offer to the right person, the person who wants to open their heart and mind and truly find happiness here. It’s hard to believe that something like that can exist, but it can. I’ve lived it and loved it.

I do have some parameters and I’ll keep them light. I value maturity, please be over 40. I’ve also tried long distance, it doesn’t work sadly, so please be in CST or EST.
