I know, we used to be the closest of friends. I was always in your heart. I made you feel complete and purposeful. I gave you those weird feelings in your stomach that you couldn’t explain but put a constant smile on your face. Yes, it’s me, and I’m sorry I left you. I didn’t choose to leave, I kind of just faded out of existence.

When I look at you now I don’t see the twinkle in your eyes you once had. I no longer see that extra bounce in your step. You have an emptiness about you now. I know it’s because I’m no longer there. I do wish I could come back to you, but you know it’s not that simple. I came close to returning, as you know, but I just wasn’t strong enough at that time to stay. Please don’t lose hope.
