Well, here we are! Looking for that "needle in the haystack" (some of us longer than others).

You might be unsure about what exactly it is you’re looking for (maybe even after you thought you finally figured it out).

All you know is that you’re lonely and missing something – and it's not just sex (but, yeah, that's missing and desired).

You want to have someone who is there for you. Someone who cares about you and thinks about you. You want to have someone to share what’s on your mind and in your heart … as well as what’s going on (ahem) further down. :)

Someone to share the mundane details of your day and/or week, but also to share your deepest and most intimate thoughts and activities - without fear of judgment.

And is it too much to ask that they be relatively attractive? :)

You might never meet them in real life. Or you might ... sooner or later.

Whatever the case, they're able to draw you incredibly close to them (heart-to-heart, mind-to-mind, and hopefully skin-to-skin). And from that intimacy comes fulfillment. Your craving satisfied at last.

Does this strikes a chord in you?

Well, not to say that I'm that "needle" for you (chances are I'm not), but maybe at the very least I can encourage you on your search (and you on mine).

About me: I'm Asian, 43, married with kids, in the "DMV" area (more specifically Northern Virginia, aka "NoVA", near Washington, DC). I'm really chatty (a natural storyteller). I love to sing. I'm a former athlete (track and football), so I'm in relatively good shape even though I don't work out as much as I used to or as I'd like to. If height matters to you, I'm 5'9". I'm also a former overachiever who is now without a checklist (something I need to work on). I don't do drugs. I don't drink. Heck, I don't even swear (in person, anyway, but oddly enough will on occasion via chat). :) Not that I'm against any of that. Just not what I do. I'm also into sci-fi, fantasy, crime solving (shows, books, etc.), superhero stuff, "chick flicks," romantic comedies, and more recently Japanese anime (to name a FEW). YouTube eats more of my free time than I care to admit ... all those short videos can really add up!

About you: I think if you clicked on this post and have read this far (and enjoyed it), we are probably compatible enough to engage in a conversation to at least get to know one another to see what sort of chemistry we have. I don't need to say what your likes and dislikes should be or say you should have this quality or that characteristic. I think the same goes for appearance as well. While we all have preferences, I've come to realize that it's probably not a good idea to describe what type of women I tend to be attracted to. In doing so, I may discourage someone really great from responding. But I think at minimum, you should view yourself as relatively pretty and try to exercise every now and then (vs rarely or never).

So, if you've gotten this far, send me a message already! And don't worry about writing a catchy, Pulitzer prize-winning first message. I'm not going to ignore your one-liner. I'm a guy. Our inboxes don't get flooded with messages like women. :) And I will reply.
