How’s the weekend looking for everyone out there? Mine? Oh, well. Same as yesterday but hopefully tomorrow will be better. That’s why I’m here, in the hope that I will meet that special someone.

It has been an interesting 1 week since I started posting on this subreddit. I have had the good fortune of chatting with quite a few of you fine ladies. You have initiated me into the world of OA and humored me by upvoting my post. For that, I thank you. But I am still looking for that elusive one and I know that you are out there.

Why am I here? The embers of my marriage are dead and the passion is long gone. She has found another soulmate, and after several months of moping around, I have decided to move on as well, albeit keeping the “relationship” alive for sake of the children, because it’s not their fault that the adults cannot reconcile.

I am looking for an online relationship with a woman who is any or all of the following- thoughtful, sensitive, funny, mischievous and obviously looking for more outside her marriage. I am not looking to change my situation and don’t expect you to do the same. It would help if you are in EST. I am not ruling out an in person relationship, but that is not in my current plans.

I have varied tastes - books (just finished Trust by Hernan Diaz, reading Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver), music, movies and documentaries, sports of most kind (except golf on TV), good food and fine alcohol. I work out to keep myself fit but not to build a 6 pack. I’m 5’8”, 160 lb - if those details matter.
