I’ve asked this question of myself for a while now, what makes an affair perfect?

Truth be told, it took me years of having successful and some not so successful relationships to have a better grasp of what I’m looking for in a partner, what my needs are and what I can realistically offer. I’ll do my best to articulate these thoughts and hope they resonate with you.

My perfect affair...

We start chatting, there's chemistry in the banter, humour, curiosity and an easy flow. We challenge each other, bring out that side of us which has lost its sheen over time. There's commonalities and interesting differences. Both of us are thinking that even if there is no attraction maybe we can just keep this going for the friendship.

We build trust, communicate and can definitely manage monthly meetups, maybe more. But no matter the frequency we always make the most of it. We're discovering how to have fun together. We support each other, we listen. And the sex is great, but not because we share the same crazy kinks but because we have a genuine connection. We're flirty, affectionate and we make time for each other.

About me:

I’ve been told I come across as an easy going person with an intense side. I tend to remain calm and am not the sort of person who lets his emotions get the better of him. Those who know me well also know I have a weird sense of humour and a goofy side that isn’t apparent at first glance. I’ve been a take charge guy all my life and that attitude translates behind the doors as well.

I love to stay active and eat healthy. I am not perfect, years of late nights and passage of time have left their mark. But I do what I can to live a more balanced life now and make time for things that matter, like family, books and my ever so cute dog (she knows I can’t refuse those puppy brown eyes). Physically, I am 5’11, I wear glasses (when I can find them), sport a slight beard and shaved head. I tend to dress for the occasion and am equally at home at a dive bar as I am in a fancy restaurant.

Successful in your own right, be it as a stay at home mom, career woman with penchant for vigilante justice or an OF entrepreneur (no judgement here 😊). Wicked sense of humour and an ability to roll your eyes at my puns are a plus.

I don’t have strict physical or age preferences, as long as you’re within 30-50 years old and hwp. I value a partner who can make time for us to connect daily, carve away moments for us to talk over the phone etc for if we can’t be in person.

Understandably odds of finding the right woman are rare in this sea of Reddit posts. But I have hope that this perfect woman exists on this sub and we will get a chance to carve out our own little slice of paradise.
