Onkyo 7100 new owner questions

I noticed there are x3 pre equalizer settings. Does anyone use these? Just setup today and trying to get the best performance. I currently have it set to off (I have the 7100 btw) anyone use them or have recommendations? Is this something I would use IN ADDITION to the Dirac Live or INSTEAD of?
Second, how do I access music apps such as Pandora or Spotify through the receiver? Would this just be easier to play from a third party device such as PS5 or Fire Stick?
Anyone able to help? Thanks!
