replacing the thumbstick with the new models?

Hey peeps, does anyone know if it will be possible to use the thumbsticks from the new mini models (with the hall sensors) on the original mini models ? I absolutely love my 5800u mini but the one letdown for me as a big fps player are the thumbsticks, GPD definitely has better thumbstick deadlines and such and it's forced me to spend a decent amount of time in every new game adjusting deadzone (if a game even supports it/steam controller decides to actually work) but I would love the option to upgrade them to the new sticks which I have heard are much better,

Any news on this or anyone that's tried it ?
