Building Red Ace going into OP07/OP08.
Post Body

I’m attempting to build R.Ace and make it… at least playable going into 07/08. I’m not looking to shake up the meta, but I would like to be able to have a decent chance at winning in a more casual setting, like side games at locals or at the kitchen table with friends.

But since he kind of falls off after 04/05, there aren’t many deck lists for him online that make use of the newer cards that I believe would be good for the deck, such as Masked Duce (OP07-013), Moda (OP07-014), Munch-Munch Mutation (OP08-019) and Silvers Rayleigh (OP08-118). I’ve only found two videos on YouTube that are more contemporary builds, but neither of them go past EB01.

The list above is what I’ve put together so far. It’s more event focused, so I opted to cut searcher Izo and the Whiebeard searcher event. And most of the Whitebeard characters, actually. I felt like between Buggy and Deuce, I could opt to step away from the Whitebeard build that most lists seem to gravitate toward.

I was also looking into a Straw Hat build that focuses on swinging wide, but at that point I may as well build Zoro. There’s also a Revolutionary Army build that’s a little more control focused, but I think I’d rather build BR or RY Sabo in that case.

Now, I’m still pretty new to brewing in OPTCG, so let me know what you guys think. Any suggestions are welcome. TIA.
