As far as I can tell, there’s no way to do things at “instant” speed, like in MtG — I can’t play a card and “hold priority” in order to activate an ability or play another card before Shachi & Penguin hit the field.

So how does a 4 cost character have an On Play ability that requires 3 or less Don!! to trigger??

I know there are cards that allow you to play other cards without paying their cost. That’s kinda Green Uta’s entire schtick. But in the context of Purple Luffy, how does this work? And I’m only really asking because this card is in quite a few Pluffy lists on Limitless. I just don’t get it.

Is it just a 2k counter? If so, aren’t there better cards? Like I know that sometimes cards are included just because they’re a 2k counter, but usually they have some kind of niche synergy with the rest of the deck. I don’t see that here, unless, as I said, I’m missing something.
