I think Strawhats have progressed too far in the story from Luffy beating Kaido.

First off, "one on one always bet on Kaido" was straight up stated and because a very true meme

Narratively, they had to jump him. Luffy lost, Yamato took his place, then he rematched, died and Awakened.

Meanwhile Law and Mid 2v1'd Big Mom.

They had to double team the Yonko s to win so they should only be considered half as strong.

Not we're supposed to act like they can take out Yonko level threats?

Oh, wait no because SHANKS ONE SHOT Kid and Killer.

Which breaks immersion because after Whitebeard being worlds strongest man, Kaido is implied to be the second strongest as "Worlds Strongest Creature" and couldn't even kill himself.

Now it's just Shanks and Blackbeard.

I couldnt see BB 1v1ing any other Yonko up until Luffy,Law,Kid beat Big Mom and Kaido but now I'm supposed to believe he got from Aces level to stronger than them in 2 years?

I'm also supposed to ignore the narrative AND NARRATOR telling me Kaido isn't the strongest after Whitebeard?

Or the Yonko system wasn't perfectly balanced the whole time and somehow Shanks claps Kaido but is pussy when it comes to BB and tells the Gorosei instead of handling him?

Shanks fans are entirely correct to think he's a Haki god.
