Being old does not mean being a lot weaker in the one piece world

Post Body

I have seen a lot of people talking about how we don't know is Garp is really that strong because he is just an old dude. But this doesn't make sense with how the world works in One Piece.

We have a lot of old characters being extremely op:

  • Garp indeed
  • The dark king
  • Whitebeard
  • And most important, the gorosei

All of these characters are some of the strongest men there have been presented. I will describe why we can know the first 3 are really strong and then i will had how the existence of the gorosei mean that we can't use the argument of "prime".

  1. Garp

Garp is supposed to have fought with Roger, and as no one of them killed the other and is kinda implied that they didnt fought just once we can suppose they have a similar level. Both should be great haki users and we know haki is the most strong things there is. From this we can know Garp is stronger than the dark king, and even if they have lost a bit of power from age, why should Garp be weaker than Rayleigh, who was able to hold an admiral.

  1. Rayleigh

I mean, he fought an admiral, even of we don't know the outcome of that battle, we know that a gap in power level in the one piece world mean that you will be one-tapped. So, as this was not the case we can ensure that he should be around Kizaru level

  1. Whitebeard

I don't thing i have to explain a lot about him

So, from this 3 guys we can tell that old people can be strong still. The only thing I think being old can give you a disadvantage in a fight in one piece is in the stamina you have. We know that when powerful people fight they can take even days fighting, so i feel from Rayleigh comment that he was meaning that he could not fought for long enough till either Kizaru or him won (also, i feel that he would not have liked to have the WG searching him for killing an admiral)

Last and more important, the Gorosei

I know they are supposed to be inmortal and all of that, but they still are old dudes who are supposed to be the more powerful people in the WG (after Im) , so, if you saying that old people are a lot weaker that what they were in their youth days will mean that you thing the gorosei either was extremely broken in they youth so even losing power from age wont mean a thing, or you think that they are weaker than the position they hold.

I would love to heard what you think about this, thx for reading
