Last we saw of Law, he was fighting Blackbeard. In the most recent chapter, we see Blackbeard’s ship near Egghead which has created an assumption of Blackbeard defeating Law. However, Blackbeard and Law have worked together before during the Rocky Port Incident so we don’t really know the nature of their relationship. I think that instead of Law being defeated, he is teaming up with Blackbeard for reasons related to this incident. Law’s betrayal/eventual enemy status was hinted at in Punk Hazard when he proposed a pirate alliance with Luffy and Robin commented that alliances with pirates often ends in betrayal. Given the connection between Punk Hazard and Egghead as both Vegapunk centered arcs, it could make sense to see this foreshadowing come to fruition.
