Trouble opening onenote notebooks or creating a new one with University account

Hi all, I’ve been running into this problem where I can no longer open any new notebooks or create notebooks on the onenote desktop version. This started about 4 months ago, possibly after a onenote update. I have tried everything I can think of including uninstalling and reinstalling, deleting passwords in the keychain, and several other things. Finally, I have been able to log into onenote on my university account but still can’t add a notebook or create one. The app works fine online and on my iPad and iPhone. Any help would be great!
