Syncing issues from iPad to Mac

Hello!

I am a new OneNote user and I'm having some trouble with syncing. I have all 5 folders on my ipad, but only 2 show up on my laptop app. I read a lot of tutorials that had me log on online to see if the problem persists, and it does.

Everything on my iPad syncs to my online OneNote version, but nothing syncs to my Mac. Well, kind of. The two folders that ARE present on my Mac will show real-time updates created on my iPad or the web version. I can't seem to get the rest of my folders over from my iPad/online to my Mac, nor any new folder created for test purposes.

I think I need to force-sync my iPad? But I'm not sure how to do that, as all I see on that topic is the auto-sync button.
