Kiss at the end

Haven't seen movie or read book. Knew nothing. To me the kiss at the end kinda changes the trajectory of their lives, no? Bc that kiss didnt happen originally but it happens when the situation arises again at the end of last episode. He relives that moment to get her back.
Either way a pretty good show.

Exactly this. The book leaves it out until the every end as well. The series leaves out a few details like this, which show their relationship was somewhat deeper from the start - other examples would be the Christmas/ New Year they spend together in 1988 and the letter inviting Emma to join Dex on his travels in year 1
