Slight spoilers for early season 2 besties, but in early season 1, we learn that not only is Ruby, Little Red Riding Hood but she's also the big bad wolf by being a werewolf as well as the wolf from Peter and the wolf (for those who forgot, Peter in the show Ruby's boyfriend in the Enchanted Forest pre dark curse, whom she promptly ate after transforming during a full moon). And in season 2, we learn that good ol Dr. Whale is actually Dr. Victor Frankenstein. In season 2, Ruby and Dr. Whale have a really nice heart to heart about being "monsters" on the docks. All of this to say that I kinda wish that the writers had gone further down this potential storyline with Ruby and Whale. Why not have a couple epsiode arc about the universal monsters? You already have the werewolf and Frankenstein, season 2 has a lot of zombie content shockingly enough when you look back on it, and I feel like it could've been a fun way to incorporate some more diverse fairy tale characters into the show. Thoughts?
