I was recently hired on as a paramedic with BOP and am finishing up final steps. I have been a paramedic for a while in various fields (fire, military, flight) but have never heard of paramedics in the prison system.
Does anyone have any insight about what day to day duties look like? If anyone has held this position was it enjoyable?
I was also offered a retention bonus, which the concern there is that obviously that is offered for a reason. Just looking for pros and cons.
Also, I am in the process for flight, so im deciding between the 2. Realistically flight is limited in advancement and pay
