So I typically cite On Cinema as the funniest thing I’ve ever seen. It perfectly captures my sense of humor. I’ve watched seasons 1-11 probably 25-30 times through. I tried Season 12 a while back and something about it just felt…off. I came back to it again last night and I just can’t shake that feeling.
Some of it was that it felt like Gregg was interrupting way more than usual and acting a little bit out of character, which feels surprising since I can’t recall that ever being an issue in previous seasons. Some of it may be the set, which I think is deliberately oppressive (the lighting is clearly a gag). But so far it’s the season that’s speaking to me least.
What should I be looking for to get more out of my Season 12 experience? Or is it just one of the lesser seasons?
