Exhausting smoke
Post Body

Hey,

I have been doing some testing with my omtech laser (AF2028-80) and I am absolutely loving it. Though my major issue so far has been exhausting the smoke. It seems to leak around the exhaust port quite a bit.

My setup right now is the default fan into the flange that comes with the laser into a 6 inch to 4 inch reducer which leads the pipe to the exhaust in the wall (4 inch wall port) . I am not sure if the reducer is causing issues or just gaps between the fan and contact points. I have tried taping up various holes I found to be leaking which has helped a bit, but a significant amount of exhaust still makes it into the room itself.

I tried removing the reducer and just use the 6 inch as a test and there is still a significant amount of smokey air that leaks from inside the exhaust box somewhere. Anyone have a similar issue and have you found a decent solution?

Forgot to add, the port in the wall is only like a foot away from the machine itself.
