Cox Cable Omaha - Usage Emails?
Post Body

Greetings,

I'm currently using the highest Cox Internet package in Omaha. It's blazing fast, and we're generally 95% happy with it... but over the past two/three months we have been getting some emails stating we are WAY over our usage. We are definitely "Power Users" at this house with some 15-20 wireless devices (between computers/phones/ipads/consoles/etc), but even COX was reporting numbers that I didn't think were possible (in the multiple terabyte).

I'm posting this because we just got this odd email from COX, and I wonder if anyone else ran into similar reporting. This might have been effecting other people in the Omaha area. I know of at least 2 other friends who were concerned because they got the "over limit" email.

Recently, you received an email from Cox indicating your data usage exceeded your data plan. The data usage total in this message was overstated. This affected customers in the Omaha area only and has been resolved. Your data usage has been updated accordingly and you can view it by visiting the data meter online at www.cox.com/datausage and logging in with your User ID and Password. If you have any questions concerning your account, please call us at 1-877-840-2777.

If this helps anyone great, otherwise, heads up! And for anyone who has received an overage report from COX, I've called their reps and they said it's more of a notification than a warning. Especially for households like me that are ALREADY on their highest package (which btw has a 400GB quota).
