Options to overcome lighting/electrical limitations in old homes?
Post Body

I closed on my new (130-year-old) house yesterday, and will be moving in soon with my kids. They are not accustomed to old houses at all, and they are particularly bothered by the limited outlets and the overhead lights with string pulls instead of wall switches. I can buy power strips, no big deal, and maybe long-term I will have the overhead lights wired to wall switches. But Iā€™m the meantime, do I have other options? I am a bit of a Luddite, but I am vaguely aware that in a world of Ring Cameras and so on, there may be wireless lighting options that Iā€™m clueless about. Does anyone have anything like that that they would recommend? Thanks!
