Love old home character

Midwest home build I’m guessing around 1890. Love seeing the old hand cut beams with notches. I was excited when I found the wood dowels holding joists/beams in place in second story attack. I love the hand cut nut at the bottom of my main stairs. I believe it’s original to house.
