Does anyone have any advice or information about leather doorknob covers?
Post Body

I have these on a couple doors on my house. From what I can tell, they appear to be stamped leather covers over regular doorknobs. I have tried googling it, but I can’t seem to find anything about them; maybe they are called something different. Maybe they were used a long time ago (house built in 1895), or maybe a later fad? I was just ordering if I should do anything specific for them as far as cleaning/conditioning? They look a little rough in these pictures, but they aren’t loose or anything, and they are on doors that don’t get much use. If the right thing to do is just leave them alone, I will. I’d just like to know more about them.
