I like to pretend to think that people older than me know what they're doing and what they're talking about.
That hardly seems the case.
The awareness that life requires seems to be lost among most people. Not that I have disrespect for those older than me, but I thought for a long time that would become less common with age. Unfortunately, here I am: corrected and disappointed. I'm not trying to find someone to complete me. I'm not trying to find a laundry list of a person that checks all the right boxes. I'm not looking to be impressed. I'm not looking to be mentored. It's plain and simple what I'm looking for really at this point. I'd like a respectful and stimulating conversationalist. I'd like to think of myself as intelligent(ish). I just finished my first semester of grad school with flying colors. I'm studying to be a therapist and eventually become a grief counselor. I'm very into philosophy, theology, natural sciences, and psychology of course.
This may be the wrong subreddit, but as with most things in life, I'd love to be proven wrong and given a happy surprise.
