How to know if a guy likes to be called daddy?

Hi, I (18f) have been been talking to someone (35m) and it has been going very well. We have met a few times but mainly message each other. Three is kind of a dynamic where he is more dominant and I am more submissive and he likes calling me pet names like princess and little one. I have been wanting to call him daddy for a while and I was wondering if there would be any clues that he is into that? Or do you know how to bring up the subject? I know I could ask directly but that is terrifying.
