So, numbers game. Gen X ( clearly the coolest) was the smallest in several generations on either side. THAT FACT alone makes dating difficult in our own age range. We also get the last of the crappy boomer ( twice as many of them were born as us...) mentality and the first of the more progressive ethical generations( ALMOST twice as many Y or 2ks as us), personality wise. So not only are we out of step/ conflicted with ourselves there are just WAY fewer of us. Most of the posts I see talk about guys whos age would fall squarely in the Gen X time frame AND seem to be the kind of smart worldly stable but still cool people X is sort of known for. Then in addition to being a low birth generation to begin with...a LOT OF US got killed, we were disproportionally represented in SEVERAL major wars, we also were around when the Three wheeler was invented and I can tell you we came back to school after every summer for about 5 years there in the 80s and lost a couple of kids every year in just my class to early ATVs/ especially three wheelers. This isn't even mentioning Fox body Mustangs or heroine and the toll they took on us...My totally unscientific poll suggests only about 5 of 6 males born to X made it. so ...yeah if we want ANY chance at a connection the generations around us are our only hope really and the Boomers are hopeless and all decided sex was irresponsible and immature like 15 years ago ( Im Joking lighten up Francis...). So yeah there is my alibi and I am sticking to it, we are rare, endangered and statistically the best catches ...we HAVE to date younger or we would be either alone or with boomers...
