Last weekend I finally got my first board and I’ve been practicing here and there when I find the time and I am so happy that I did. I’m a complete beginner and I’ve been wanting to skate since I was a little girl. This weekend we got lucky with the weather (I live in NJ) and I got to actually practice out in a close by parking lot and I loved every second. Before I knew it HOURS has gone by. Choosing to finally get a board and learn to skate has done a ton of good for me. I got a lot of encouragement from people off of Reddit and a few close friends. I don’t know if I’d of had the confidence to really go for it without that push. I just wanted to share my experience so far and my board. :)
